One Document Beats Twelve Attachments
Scanned a contract in three parts? Exported chapter PDFs separately? Downloaded statements one month at a time? Every one of those situations ends the same way: a frustrated recipient scrolling through a dozen attachments. Our Merge PDF tool combines any number of PDFs into a single, ordered document in two clicks — and unlike most online mergers, it does the work inside your browser. The files are never uploaded to any server, so confidential contracts, medical records, and financial statements stay on your machine.
How It Works
Add your files, drag them into the right order with the arrow buttons (the tool shows each file's page count so you can sanity-check the lineup), then hit merge. Under the hood the tool uses pdf-lib, a pure-JavaScript PDF library, running locally in your browser: it copies every page from each source document into a fresh output document, preserving page size, orientation, and content streams. The result downloads as merged.pdf — no watermark, no page limit, no account.
Why "No Upload" Matters
- Privacy: uploaded documents live on somebody else's servers longer than you think. Here, nothing ever leaves the device — verify it with your browser's network tab.
- Speed: no upload or download round-trip. A 100-page merge finishes in about the time it takes to click the button.
- Limits: the only ceiling is your device's memory, not a "free tier".
Common Recipes
- Job applications: merge CV + cover letter + portfolio into one attachment that actually gets opened.
- Scans: combine part-scans into a single clean document, then rotate any sideways pages with our Rotate PDF tool.
- Invoices: append monthly invoices into one yearly archive.
- Handouts: turn slide exports into a single printable pack.
Encrypted Files
Password-protected PDFs cannot be read without the password, so the tool flags them as unreadable instead of failing the whole merge. Remove the protection first (with the password you own), then merge as usual.
