Stop Renaming Things by Hand
You renamed a function, a product code, or a domain β and now the old name is scattered through a 5,000-line config, a content file, or a customer list. Manually hunting each occurrence guarantees you will miss one, and the one you miss becomes tomorrow's bug. Our Find and Replace tool swaps every match in a single pass and tells you exactly how many replacements it made, so nothing hides. It works live as you type, with a safe, clearly reported error if your regular expression is malformed.
Plain Text or Regex β Your Choice
Leave Regular expression off and your search term is treated as literal text β no escaping surprises, perfect for names, codes, and phrases. Flip it on and you get the full power of JavaScript regex: \bword\b replaces whole words only (so "cat" never touches "category"), https?://\S+ rewrites URLs, and ^ or $ anchors edits to line boundaries. Case sensitivity is a separate toggle either way. When you are done, clean up spacing with our Whitespace Remover.
Common Recipes
- Whole word only: regex
\boldname\bβnewname. The match counter proves every instance is gone. - Strip dates from log lines: regex
^\d4-\d2-\d2\s*β empty. - Normalize quotes: find
βreplace with"(and the reverse) before JSON validation with our JSON Validator. - Swap separators: find
,replace with;before importing semicolon-delimited CSVs.
Private, Instant, Unlimited
The replace operation runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript's native String.replace with a global regex β the same engine your dev tools use. There is no upload, no queue, no rate limit, and no file size gate: paste ten characters or ten megabytes and get results in milliseconds. Your text lives in RAM for as long as the tab is open, and nowhere else.
